
Cupertino fans of Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau are networking with each other through private activities in preparation for his 2013 “Always” Andy Lau Concert Tour in Taiwan starting December 28, 2013.
Marcus Jing, an Andy Lau fan for over 20 years, has established an Andy Lau Cupertino Fan inner-circle after meeting numerous members who lives within the city’s range on the 52 year-old singer and actor’s official fan club website, awc618.com.
“As a loyal fan for two decades, I finally got to meet more people who admire the sensational superstar through his recently-established fan club forum.”

The Cupertino Andy Lau fans inner circle hosts private events bi-weekly at numerous karaoke lounges in Cupertino such as the KTV Music Tunnel and Gamba Karaoke, where fans would sing Lau’s famous hits from Hong Kong.
The Cupertino resident post schedules of events on the forum where other fans within the city’s range would attend.

Andy Lau started his acting career in 1981 when his first role was a refugee in “Boat People”, a film by director Ann Hui.
He started his singing career shortly in the 1990’s, releasing hit songs such as “Love You 10,000 Years” and “You Are My Girl”.
Today, Lau has over 50,000 fans active on his forum, mostly in Hong Kong according to the Andy World Club website.
“We are hosting Andy Lau Karaoke Nights every other Saturday until his concert in Taiwan,” Jing said.
Jing stated that Andy Lau fans in Cupertino became one close-knitted circle through these private events.
He noted that fans feel a connection after spending time together discussing about Lau’s future concerts and films.
According to the two-decade fan, the inner circle will travel to Taiwan together and attend the sold-out concert in the Taipei Arena.
“We are planning on creating a huge banner to display at the show reading, “Andy Lau Bay Area Fans!” said Fanny Deng, one of the Andy Lau Cupertino fans inner circle member.
Cupertino fans of Andy Lau also hope the famous singer would perform in the US and host a meet-and-greet event in the Bay Area.
“We have to contact his film and music company, Focus Group, to see if we can bring him to the States to meet his American fans,” Shiao Gang, another fan said.
