Cupertino Quinlan Community Center Opens As A Temporary Evacuation Point

The County of Santa Clara and the American Red Cross staff the evacuation point.

The City of Cupertino’s Quinlan Community Center is now a temporary evacuation point for residents who have been forced to evacuate their homes or are facing evacuation warnings due to the raging wildfires in our local counties. The center, located at 10185 N Stelling Road, opened to residents at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The County of Santa Clara and the American Red Cross staff the evacuation point. Staff determines the needs those impacted by the fires and identifies appropriate resources. The center is not a shelter but provides residents temporary housing.

RV parking is available. Residents interested in safe camping locations should bring tents and sleeping bags when leaving their homes.

Anyone under an evacuation order is urged to take immediate action and leave the area immediately ahead of the fast-moving and unpredictable wildfires.
