Earth Day at Alum Rock Park!

Come celebrate a wonderful warm spring day at Alum Rock with the Park Rangers and Youth Science Institute!

Alum Rock Park’s Park Rangers, Open Space Authority, and Youth Science Institute are proud to host our first annual Earth Day Celebration, on Sunday April 22nd, 2018! Come join the fun at this FREE event, open to all families and friends. This event goes from 1:00pm-4:00pm, and will be filled with lots to do, from learning about sustainable gardening, native plants, insects, also see live animals, go on a nature hike, face painting, activities for kids, silent auction and drawings, and much more! Towards the end of our event, we will be offsetting our carbon footprint by planting native seeds and ceremonial tree planting! There is also a volunteer event in the morning from 9:00am-1:00pm, if you would like to participate in helping give back to the Earth with different volunteer projects, such as trail maintenance, and you get free parking! You can sign up to volunteer at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/alum-rock-park-earth-day-2018-tickets-43210212910?aff=es2. We hope to see you there!
