4:00 pm - 5:30 pm Session 1: “What Is Race, Anyway?” Nicholas Kristof, followed by panel discussion

5:30 pm - 7:15 pm Dinner at local restaurants (map and options provided) or bring your own (microwave available)

10 am - 12:10 pm Session 2: “A People’s History of Race”: Emilie Townes, followed by panel discussion and reflection groups

1: 20 pm - 3:10 pm Session 3: “Soul Searching in a Culture of Control”, Talks by Victor Rios and Kelly Brown Douglas, followed by discussion and Q&A

3:15 pm - 4:30 pm Session 4: “Where do we go from here?”

Plenary group discussion to brainstorm and plan how to follow up locally

4:30 pm Closing

6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Optional Session: ’Silent Beats’ short video about racial stereotypes, followed by discussion
