The Poetry of Advent from Darkness to Light with Barbara Simmons--Community Forum on Sunday, December 6, 9:15-10:15 am. The Advent season, one of waiting, one of listening, one of hoping, starts in darkness, and is marked by the addition through Advent of lighted candles as we enter a season of light and celebration. Poet Barbara Simmons will help us walk from darkness to light in this season where we will proclaim Alleluia -- from traditional to contemporary poets, all circling back to the theme of Advent, from darkness to light. Come read, listen, and be inspired to write your own Advent poem. St. Jude’s is at 20920 McClellan Road, Cupertino, CA 95014. In Parish Hall. Childcare provided.
