Santana Row Fashion Shows Feature Fluid Designs

No more skinny jeans. No more skin-tight tank tops. Summer 2015 fashion is all easy breezy, as seen on the runways of this year’s Santana Row Summer Fashion Shows, which took place at the poolside of Misora, Santana Row’s newest resort-style residences.

Even the evening dresses presented there looked somewhat like resort wear. For instance, a sparkly Penelope gown with its airy flared bottom moved freely with the model’s every step.

Some of this summer’s pants come in flared bottoms, too. One of Santana Row’s brands, Annieglass, featured wide-leg pants at the annual summer fashion shows.

Relaxed silhouettes dominated the poolside runways. Some of the sun dresses provided absolute comfort without any restriction around the waist. A vibrant pink and coral tie-dye dress from Splendid was a prime example.

Another notable trend is see-through skirt bottoms. Anne Fontaine presented a few black skirts which are ankle length but with sheer lace from mid-thigh all the way down.

The fluid skirts and relaxed-fit were paired with loose blouses or shirts. Curve-hugging silhouettes were in the minorities, though Ted Baker London and Penelope did present a few form-fitting dresses.

The retailers participating in the fashion shows also included Scotch & Soda, Letarte Swimwear, Boutique Harajuku, Bonobos, H&M, Calypso St. Barth and Franco Uomo.

Santana Row is donating 15 percent of ticket sales proceeds to Pets In Need, an animal shelter dedicated to placing dogs and cats into loving home since 1965.

Misora is a 212-unit luxury residential community, which was completed in early 2014, adjacent to restaurants and shops at Santana Row. The residential community boasts such amenities as a lounging pool with cabanas and a lap pool, concierge services and private cinema. Residents also enjoy a fitness studio, chef’s demonstration facilities near the pool, wine lockers and a wine tasting room.
