South Bay Man Arrested For Allegedly Threatening To Kill Girlfriend, Her Kids

Breaking: The man allegedly made the deadly threat by contacting his girlfriend's children, police said.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- A Santa Clara man was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend of two years and her two children, police said Friday.

On June 22, the man had allegedly attacked his girlfriend and one of her children at home. The child, who suffered minor injuries, pulled the man off of their mother, who was seriously injured, police said.

After a neighbor reported banging and screaming to police, Santa Clara firefighters provided first aid to both the child and their mother before taking them to a hospital.

The man allegedly made the deadly threat by contacting his girlfriend's children on Monday.

On Tuesday, Santa Clara police Special Enforcement Team detectives found the suspect with another man at McKinley Drive and Michael Way, just north of Stevens Creek Boulevard.

The man allegedly identified himself with several false names before admitting who he was. The man he was with was identified and released and the suspect was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.

Detectives learned that the man had also thrown a cinder block garden paver on his girlfriend's car on May 22, damaging her car and the vehicle next to it.

That incident was reported to police, but a similar vandalism incident in April was not reported, police said.
