Tattoo Pondering? See 'Drinks + Ink' Deal At New Area Hotel

CUPERTINO, CA – The AC Hotel Sunnyvale Cupertino opened its doors this month in Silicon Valley and among the grand-opening offers: the Drinks + Ink Package.

In a partnership with Sunnyvale-based The Vale Tattoo, the Marriott property is hosting the tattoo getway, so to speak, through August 2019. The offer includes the hotel stay, happy hour cocktails, a consultation with a tattoo artist, round-trip car service to Vale, breakfast for two, overnight parking and a tattoo "recovery kit" that includes four craft beers, local snacks, lotion and soap to care for the guests' new artwork, along with a framed, color rendering of the tattoo design.

The package, that includes a "palm-sized color or black-and-gray tattoo," starts at $519, plus tax.

The Silicon Valley's newest hotel, located in Sunnyvale at 597 E El Camino Real, offers five floors with 182 guest rooms and is branding itself to cater to travelers, particularly millennials and entrepreneurs, with high-tech amenities, common space, an "Innovation Lab" meeting space featuring a boardroom table that converts to a ping-pong table and an adjacent outdoor patio.

"We are very excited to officially open our doors and unveil this gorgeous property as the first of several new AC Hotels we are building and servicing in the Bay Area,” said Mike Lerman, general manager, AC Hotel Sunnyvale Cupertino, Evolution Hospitality. "We've really enjoyed getting to know the Sunnyvale community, and are thrilled to partner with some amazing local organizations and businesses both at opening and continuing forward.”

The LEED Silver Certified property also is out to woo area residents in its opening phase with local resident-targeted happy hour and entertainment in the lobby. And for stay-cations -- “Salud to the Weekend!” leisure packages, which include complimentary drinks and parking, start at $189 and are available weekends through August.

“Both our guests and Sunnyvale locals will enjoy the bar program at the AC Lounge. It’s not only a great place to grab a drink before dinner, but also a gathering place for the community,” said John Tran, beverage and food manager at the property. “We’ve taken great care to highlight some fantastic local producers, such as Camino Brewing, on our bar menu, while also staying true to the AC Hotel brand’s Spanish roots with items like the Aqua de Valencia.
