UPDATE on I-280: Lanes Reopened After Fatal Crash
A motorist hit a tree south of Wolfe Road, according to CHP.

Two lanes of Interstate Highway 280 in Cupertino have reopened after a fatal crash this morning, according to California Highway Patrol.
Officers responded to a report of a car that crashed into a tree on the right-hand shoulder on southbound Highway 280 just south of Wolfe Road shortly after 5:30 a.m., CHP officials said.

CHP Officer Eric Anderson said the passenger in a vehicle died and the driver was transported to a hospital for major injuries.
A Sig-alert was issued at 7:07 a.m. and lanes reopened shortly after 9 a.m., CHP officials said.
