Public agencies, including the town of Danville, have a 60‑day priority window to express interest before the site can go to private developers, with a final sale likely about a year away.
3. Single-family home sells for $5.8 million in Danville (mercurynews.com) — A newly built single‑story home on Mitchell Way in Danville sold July 10 for $5.8 million, or about $1,166 per square foot. The 4,975‑square‑foot property, on a 1.1‑acre lot with a pool and four‑car garage, reflects the upper end of Danville's luxury housing market.
4. New York Giants signing ex-Saints 4th-round quarterback (usatoday.com) — Former New Orleans Saints quarterback Jake Haener, who grew up in Danville, has signed with the New York Giants to add depth in their quarterback room. The 27‑year‑old Fresno State standout, a fourth‑round 2023 draft pick, joins New York after stints with the Saints and Chiefs and is already practicing with the team.
