Investigators believe he may be linked to multiple similar cases in Danville and are asking anyone with information to contact the police department.
• 78-Year-Old Danville Man Gets 9 Years In Prison For $9.5M Ponzi Scheme: Reports (patch.com) — A 78-year-old Danville resident has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison after admitting he ran a $9.5 million Ponzi scheme that defrauded more than 90 investors over two decades. Prosecutors said he promised high returns on non-existent tax-free bonds and used new funds to pay earlier investors and cover personal expenses, while restitution of over $12 million is being sought.
• Navy All-American Bowl to honor San Ramon Valley High School offensive lineman Aden Owolabi (nbcsports.com) — San Ramon Valley High School in Danville will honor offensive lineman Aden Owolabi tonight as he's officially named a 2027 Navy All-American before the home football game. The Road to the Dome tour stop at 501 Danville Blvd brings national attention to a local standout, ahead of his appearance in January's All-American Bowl in San Antonio.
