Officer Issue Over 100 Citations In Danville As Part Of Coordinated Traffic Enforcement

DANVILLE, CA — Officers from Danville, Orinda, and Lafayette issued 120 citations to drivers in Danville last week as part of a coordinated traffic enforcement operation.

Officers targeted driving behaviors that commonly contribute to collisions, including speeding, stop sign violations, and cell phone use behind the wheel.

During an enforcement operation in Livermore last week carried out by personnel from across the Bay Area, officers reportedly issued 378 citations.

In June, officers issued 308 citations during an operation in Hayward, according to the Hayward Police Department. In May, more than 400 were issued in Fremont, according to the Fremont Police Department.
