• Danville Could Make Downtown Restaurant Parklets Permanent (patch.com) — Downtown Danville diners could see the popular restaurant parklets become a permanent feature as the Town Council weighs long-term rules for on-street and on-property outdoor seating. The proposal would cap parklets at 12 parking spaces, set design and usage standards, and adjust how much outdoor space restaurants can add depending on location and parking. Residents and business owners can follow the council's October meetings for final decisions.
• San Ramon and Danville Candidates Discuss Community Safety, Immigration and Local Priorities at MCC Forum Open Governance (opgov.news) — Danville and San Ramon candidates for council, school board and Assembly recently fielded questions on community safety, anti-Muslim hate, immigration enforcement and open-space protection at a local Muslim Community Center forum. For Danville voters, the event highlighted contrasts over Measure G, appointment processes, and how well local leaders listen to residents and protect vulnerable communities.
