DANVILLE, CA — Danville residents interested in serving their community can apply to sit on several commissions and committees starting Jan. 1, 2027.
Applications are due by Nov. 4 at 5 p.m..
The Design Review Board assists the Town Council and Planning Commission in reviewing and evaluating proposed site design, architecture, signs and landscaping to ensure consistency with the Town's General Plan, ordinances, and adopted design standards and criteria.
The Heritage Resource Commission helps establish criteria for identifying historic sites, and developing preservation incentives for property owners.
The Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission advises the Town Council on acquiring, developing, and maintaining park and recreation facilities, and providing leisure and human service programs for town residents.
The Planning Commission recommends a long-term general plan for the physical development of the town, and provides review of all planning and development proposals coming into Danville.
The Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District provides inspection and control for mosquitos, mosquitofish, rats and mice, bees, pests, and more in Contra Costa County.
