Beloved Alamo Bakery Closing After 33 Years Of Business

ALAMO, CA — Katrina Rozelle Pastries & Desserts will be closing on Feb. 1 after 33 years of business.

Rozelle will be retiring, but the transition will be a difficult one, the company announced on its website. She has already closed her Oakland store.

Katrina Rozelle Pastries & Desserts has produced thousands of wedding cakes, tens of thousands of celebration cakes and millions of cookies, the company wrote.

Katrina Rozelle Pastries & Desserts, located at 215 B Alamo Plaza, was featured in Diablo Magazine's Best of the East Bay several times for its wedding cakes.

"Katrina knows that there will be pangs of withdrawal as the ready supply of these items disappears; she will miss them, too," the company wrote. "She might even have to start baking at home!"
