Brides On Hartz Collecting Prom Dresses For Girls In Need

The dress shop has partnered with the East Bay Dress Day, whose mission is to make sure every girl is able to have a prom dress.

DANVILLE, CA — A Danville dress shop is collecting gently used prom dresses to be donated to girls in need. Brides on Hartz has teamed up with the East Bay Dress Day for the dress collection drive.

“Brides on Hartz is excited to partner with East Bay Dress Day and their wonderful cause because helping girls feel beautiful on prom night is just as important to us as the joy we bring to our brides,” co-owner Ashleigh Carone told Patch.

Brides on Hartz, which is owned and operated by Carone and Marissa Clavin, was born from their love of weddings, event planning and gorgeous gowns. Carone said the duo met and became friends while working for the Oakland Athletics.

They said they knew their love for all things bridal and their similar outlook on business would be the perfect foundation for the vision that eventually grew to be Brides on Hartz. The dress shop, which sells bridal wear and prom gowns, opened in 2018. The duo said set they out to gather a collection of inclusive gowns in all styles for women of all sizes because they wanted every bride that walks through their doors to feel beautiful.

They are hosting an open house for those in search of a new prom dress on Feb. 10 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
