Cannabis Advertising Agency Brings On Danville Man To Help Lead

DANVILLE, CA — A Danville resident has been appointed to serve as Chief Operating Officer for a Walnut Creek-based advertising and marketing agency that caters to the cannabis industry. Jonathan Black, who lives with his wife and their three kids in Town, was named to the top post at MediaJel and will oversee all company operations, according to a July 3 announcement from the agency.

"I'm thrilled to appoint Jonathan to this vital role as we expedite our transition into a fully integrated management mechanism with critical focus on sales, services, and company growth, ultimately setting our clients apart from their competitors in a complex emerging marketspace," said Jake Litke, CEO of MediaJel. "Jonathan has made instrumental contributions to our company in a brief amount of time, and I look forward to relying on his expertise and counsel as we confidently move ahead."

Black earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of San Diego, and after completing law school at John F. Kennedy University, founded his own law firm, Weston Law Group PC.

The North America cannabis market was valued at $13.21 billion in 2018 and is expected to reach $36.7 billion in 2025, according to a May 2019 Research and Markets report.
