Contra Costa County Library To Host 3 Candidate Forums
Hear from candidates running for Assembly District 15, district attorney and superintendent of schools before the June primary.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – The Contra Costa County Library will host three candidate forums at library branches this spring, allowing voters the opportunity to hear from the candidates running for Assembly District 15, district attorney and superintendent of schools on relevant issues leading up the June primary.
The first forum includes candidates for Assembly District 15, and will be at the new San Pablo Library on Monday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. There are 12 candidates for the open seat that covers much of West Contra Costa County, as well as areas in Alameda County including Berkeley and Oakland.
The three candidates for Contra Costa County District Attorney will speak at the Hercules Library on Monday, April 30 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.

The Concord Library will host the forum for the three candidates for Superintendent of Schools on Thursday, May 3 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
“The Library is great place to host these forums,” said County Librarian Melinda Cervantes. “We are proud to be a part of the process that allows voters to stay informed about candidates for these important offices.”

The Library is partnering with the League of Women Voters of the Diablo Valley and the West County League of Women Voters, Contra Costa County Elections Department and Contra Costa Television (CCTV).
All of the forums will be recorded by CCTV, and posted on the Library website at ccclib.org and the website for the League of Women Voters of the Diablo Valley at http://lwvdv.org.
