Deadline For Community Pianos Submission Extended

DANVILLE, CA — The town of Danville has extended the submission deadline for the Danville Community Pianos summer public art series from May 8 to May 22 at 5 p.m.

From June 1 to Labor Day, two pianos decorated by a community member will be in a public spot downtown for all to enjoy. Students interested in participating are encouraged to submit one colored sketch of their proposed designs.

SRVUSD filmmakers in middle and high school are also encouraged to submit films for the Town of Danville’s 2026 Student Film Festival. Students may submit films on a topic of their choice, as long as all entries are appropriate for public viewing and meet PG rating standards. Film submissions are due by 5 p.m. on July 13, and participants will be notified on July 20. The community screening will take place at the Village Theatre on Aug. 7 at 6:30 p.m. See here to apply.
