Danville Bank Robber At-Large: DPD

A man entered a Wells Fargo Bank branch on Camino Tassajara and slipped a note to a worker demanding money, then fled, police say.

DANVILLE, CA — The suspect in a strong-armed robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank at 3402 Camino Tassajara remains at-large as of Tuesday afternoon, according to the Danville Police Department.

Police described the suspect as a light-skinned Black man estimated to be in his early 20s, who stands about 5’7 and weighs about 150 pounds. He reportedly entered the bank wearing a black beanie, a black surgical mask, black clothing, and a black sling or fanny pack.

Police say he presented a written note to bank staff demanding money. No weapons were seen, and no injuries were reported.

The suspect fled the bank on foot. Officers and detectives from the Danville Police Department, Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office, and Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Crime Lab arrived at the scene.

The suspect is at large as of Tuesday at 5:11 pm.
