DANVILLE, CA — A Danville group seeking to limit Danville Town Councilmembers to two terms and eight years of service must get 3,000 signatures — 10 percent of registered voters in the town — to qualify for the November ballot, Bay Area News Group reported.

Group Danville Term Limits declined to say how many signatures it had collected, but said it was "guaranteed" that the proposal would be on the ballot, Bay Area News Group reported.

Danville Term Limits notes on its website that the office of the president already has limits and claims that incumbents have an unfair advantage in an election.
