Danville Hosting 1st Inaugural Summer Solstice Block Party

Celebrate the longest night of the year with live music, games, food and drink from Danville restaurants, and more.

DANVILLE, CA — It's almost officially summer in Danville, and on the summer solstice, the sun is predicted to stay in the sky until 8:33 p.m.

T celebrate, the town is throwing its first Summer Solstice Block Party, which will take place Saturday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the corner of Church Street and Hartz Avenue. Hosted by Danville Harvest and Kaia's, the free community event will feature live music, kids' activities, games, food and drink from Danville restaurants, and more.
