Danville Police Youth Academy Underway
These students are learning super sleuth secrets, along with tips on how to interact with the police department.
DANVILLE, CA - Nineteen Danville area teens are participating in the annual Danville Police Department Youth Academy this week.
All of the participants are current San Ramon Valley High School and Monte Vista High School students. They're gaining an understanding of police officers and their mission through hands-on training and education.
The police department shared photos of Monday's exploits on Facebook, including an explanation of the pbj. Chief Steve Simpkins used "a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (which had a suspicious bite taken out); Chief Simpkins taught the youngsters a valuable lesson about writing and clarity."

This year's academy is full. It will be held again in June 2017.
