Danville Restaurant Listed Among Top Places to Eat in Northern California

Want a hint? It can be found on Hartz Avenue.

Danville, CA— We knew it was popular with East Bay locals, but now one Danville eatery holds a spot on a foodie bucket list of must-try Northern California restaurants. The Peasant and The Pear, owned by well-known East Bay Chef Rodney Worth, ranked No. 12 on an exclusive list of places to dine.

The Hartz Avenue mainstay is ranked among the top restaurants to try before you die, according to a list recently released by OnlyInYourState website.

"The Peasant and The Pear is our flagship and our baby," Worth told Patch. "I feel very humbled and proud. This restaurant now has been open for 12 years. We tried very hard every day to get the freshest, best ingredients available. We cook food that we like not trendy food. The people of the Tri-Valley definitely love great food and ultimately they're the ones who keep us open and continue to use us."
