Forget the Swans, There's Polished Comfort Food at the Little Pear

The San Francisco Chronicle comes to Danville and eats at the Little Pear.

Polished comfort food, big portions, designer sunglasses -- that's the Little Pear, according to a write-up in the San Francisco Chronicle.

Behind their designer sunglasses, most diners at the Little Pear seem as content as the swans gliding about the restaurant's surrounding waterways, Nicholas Boer of the Chron writes.

Boer writes the owner Rod Worth just signed a 17-year lease so the Little Pear should be around for a while.

Dishes Boer highlights are:

One go-to dish is an enormous plate of fried baby artichokes ($9). The Plaza Club ($11); the smoky chicken sandwich with pear, pecans and tart cherries ($10); or the grilled half-pound burger on an artisan bun spiked with patty-melt fixins' ($11) make dinner fun - or unnecessary, if you come for lunch.
