Housing Project On Magee Preserve Likely Headed To Voters
Danville Town Council identified March 3 as the preferred date that voters would decide whether 69 homes should be built.

DANVILLE, CA — After heated discussion, a petition challenging the Town of Danville's approval to build 69 homes on Magee Preserve has been validated and now the issue is likely head to voters.
The petition was certified by Danville Town Council Sept. 17 after county election officials verified the required 3,000 valid signatures. Town Council identified March 3 as the preferred date to put the issue to voters, but a final decision on the election date will come at a future Town Council meeting.
The petition opposed the plan by Walnut Creek-based developer Davidon Homes to build 69 single-family homes on 29 acres at Magee Ranch. The development plan was approved by Town Council in July. The homes would be situated on the south side of Diablo and Blackhawk roads.
