Here are the latest local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Danville.

DANVILLE, CA — COVID-19 cases are on the rise in the Bay Area, and Contra Costa County and neighboring Alameda County have seen big changes in recent weeks.
Contra Costa County saw the biggest week over week jump in Bay Area COVID-19 cases with an 86 percent increase, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Tuesday. Alameda County reports 3,100 COVID-19 cases, meaning it has surpassed Santa Clara County, which was once considered the epicenter of the outbreak in California.

There have been 26 cases of the coronavirus in Danville (59 cases per 100,000 people), 43 cases in San Ramon (52 cases per 100,000 people) and 20 cases in Alamo (136 cases per 100,000 people), according to the county.

- 13 patients were hospitalized (-1 since last week)
- 37 COVID-19 patients died (+1 since last week)

- 1,140 patients have recovered (+106 since last week)
