Masked Man Flees After Homeowner Spots Him Entering Backyard

Police are asking for the public's help in collecting additional information after a resident scared off a man trying to enter his backyard.

DANVILLE, CA — A masked man tried to enter the backyard of a home in the 100 block of Lomitas Drive at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, but was scared off when a resident saw him, the Danville Police Department said.

The man was seen getting into a dark sedan driven by a man, police said. The men were not located, though police said they tried to track them down via K-9, drone and helicopter.
