Power Outage Affected More Than 1K In Danville, Mostly Restored
Power is mostly restored to Danville after a large outage Monday night.

DANVILLE, CA - PG&E is restoring power to an outage that affected more than 1,000 Danville customers late Monday evening into Tuesday morning. At its peak, the outage affected a large swath of homes and businesses north and east of 680 and north of El Cerro Boulevard.
As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, 62 customers west of Green Valley Road and north of Stone Valley Road are still affected. See here for a map.
PG&E officials recently attended a Town Council meeting to discuss repeated unplanned outages in the area, following a letter sent by Danville Town Manager Joe Calabrigo. Regional Government Relations Manager Sarah Yoell, herself a Danville resident, told the town that the town’s “reliability has been unacceptable, and we fell short in our responsibility to the Town of Danville,” according to a report in Danville-San Ramon.

Yoell and Regional Vice President Aaron Johnson explained that the outages are a result of new safety settings aimed at preventing wildfires that can result in a prolonged loss of power.
