Quake Shakes East Bay Sunday: Did You Feel It?

ALAMO, CA — A 3.6-magnitude earthquake shook the East Bay on Sunday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake occurred around 8:37 a.m. and struck roughly 1.2 miles southwest of Alamo, with a depth of just over 9 miles, according to the survey.

People reported feeling the quake across the area, including as far as Vallejo and Oakland, according to the survey.

Earthquakes with a magnitude of 2.5-5.4 are often felt but typically cause only minor damage, according to Michigan Technological University.
