Real Estate Inventory in Danville and Alamo is Growing
With the Super Bowl in our rear-view mirror, homeowners try to beat the spring rush to the market.
Thursdays are "Broker’s Tour" day in Danville and Alamo, and I was not surprised to see a lot of new activity this week.
I was one of four agents putting my sign on the corner of Del Amigo Road and Danville Boulevard near , a sure sign of a busy day on tour.
“After the Super Bowl” has been a popular target date for some sellers (for those who missed “after the holidays” and don’t want to wait until spring).

I had a new listing on tour Thursday in Westside Danville— 490 Clipper Hill Road, a lovely home on an acre with towering oak trees (see the virtual tour). It is priced at $1,049,000 with 2,700 square feet. I served lunch and greeted about 80 agents as they previewed the home.
It was one of 24 homes on tour in Danville, where the inventory is 215 homes (including Diablo and Blackhawk), with 64 of those new to the market in the last two weeks.

In Alamo, 10 homes were on tour Thursday. Inventory in Alamo has grown to 81 listings with 14 new to the market.
Buyers are active, there's no doubt. Many tell me they have been looking for some time and are now watching the market for new and interesting homes. A growing inventory should result in some quick pending sales. If it grows too fast, prices will suffer.
Here's some encouraging news: Across Danville and Alamo, 99 sales are pending and 61 homes have sold this year.
