Rep. DeSaulnier To Talk Immigration, Trump In Danville
He will hold a town hall meeting in Danville on August 8 at Charlotte Wood Middle School.

DANVILLE, CA — Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (D-CA) will be hosting a town hall meeting in Danville on August 8, where he is slated to discuss conditions at the southern border, as well as work the House has been doing, and Congress’s oversight of the Trump Administration.
DeSaulnier is also scheduled to host a town hall in Richmond on August 5, where he will discuss what he's witnessed at detention facilities during his two visits to the southern border. During the event, the congressman will be joined by a panel of immigration experts. Additionally, legal resources and information about immigrant rights will be available in English and Spanish, according to his office. A translator will also be on hand during the event.
The 6 p.m. August 5 meeting in Richmond will be held at St. Marks Catholic Church, 159 Harbour Way S.

The 6:30 p.m. August 8 meeting in Danville will be held at Charlotte Wood Middle School, 600 El Capitan Dr.
DeSaulnier's 11th congressional district includes the majority of Contra Costa County.

EDITOR'S NOTE: This story was updated August 6, 2019 due to a venue change for the Danville event. According to DeSaulnier's office, "due to overwhelming interest in this week’s town hall in Danville, the location has been moved to a larger venue in order to accommodate all attendees. The town hall will now be held at Charlotte Wood Middle School on Thursday, August 8th at 6:30 p.m." The Danville event was previously scheduled to be held at the Veterans Memorial Building.
