Roaches At Crow Canyon Country Club Restaurant: Health Inspectors

The permit to operate The Vintage at Crow Canyon Country Club has been temporarily suspended due to the health department findings.

DANVILLE, CA — The Vintage restaurant at Crow Canyon Country Club has been forced to close after the health department discovered roaches on the premises.

An Oct. 15, 2019 posting on the restaurant's door by the County of Contra Costa Environmental Health Division states that roaches were found at the 711 Silver Lake Drive property, which prompted immediate closure "due to temporary suspension" of the operator's health permit.

"This facility was found to have violations which constitute an immediate danger to public health or safety," the health department's notice reads. "As a result, the permit to operate has been temporarily suspended and this facility has been ordered to remain closed until a written reinstatement of permit has been issued."

In addition to the roaches, the inspection history available on the Contra Costa Health services website shows that there were also multiple "minor violations" found during the Oct. 15 visit by health inspectors.

In a letter posted at the exclusive Danville property, Crow Canyon County Club general manager Brian Amador acknowledged the health department's findings and said the problem has been eradicated, however the restaurant will remain closed "to reorganize the kitchen, conduct some facility repairs and retrain the team."
