Road Closures for San Ramon Valley High School Homecoming Parade

Several streets in Danville will be closed on October 24 for the annual parade.

Motorists coming to downtown Danville Friday afternoon are advised to prepare for delays as some streets will be temporarily closed during the October 24, 2014 San Ramon Valley High School Homecoming Parade.

Parts of Railroad Avenue, Hartz Avenue and Danville Boulevard will be closed while the parade progresses from the high school through the downtown and back (see attached map). Closures are expected to last from 2:35 p.m. – 3:10 p.m. Motorists are asked to exercise caution when driving downtown during this time as the parade will be passing through and there will be many pedestrians viewing the event as well.

In addition, residents near SRVHS are advised that there will be brief fireworks displays during the pre-game and half-time shows at the stadium. Estimated times for the shows are 6:55 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Pet owners may want to keep their animals indoors during this time. For information on the fireworks program, residents can contact Janet Willford at jwillford@srvhs.org.
