San Ramon Valley Education Foundation Hosts Annual Fun Run

The Foundation's Flagship Event Raises Funds for SRVUSD Schools

The San Ramon Valley Education Foundation (SRVEF) proudly hosts the 32nd annual Run for Education on October 11, 2015. The SRVEF Run for Education welcomes everyone: from weekend warriors; weekday walkers; and those who strive to support their community. This event is the primary fundraising activity for the San Ramon Valley’s schools, bringing together the area’s 35 schools and featuring nearly 10,000 runners.

Run Information

Running enthusiasts, recreational runners, families and community members are offered a 10k timed run, 5k timed or 5K Fun Run, presented by Chevron. Both races are certified by the USA Track and Field organization and can serve as qualifiers for other races.

New Health and Wellness Expo and Mini Run

In an effort to promote the importance of health and wellness at a young age, new to the event this year is the Health and Wellness Expo and mini-run for kids ages 2-6, presented by Stanford Children’s Health. This inaugural event will take place at Iron Horse Middle School on Saturday, October 10, 2015 and will feature a day of music, vendors, food trucks and an opportunity for runners to pick up t-shirts and bibs for Sunday’s race.

“We are thrilled to host the 32nd annual Run for Education to benefit our local schools and students,” said Cristene Burr, Executive Director for the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation. “You can really feel the electricity on run day and the outpouring of support–from individuals, businesses and corporate partners—is really moving.”
