The giveaway will be from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

According to the Vermont-based ice cream purveyor, "1979 marked the first ever Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day in the history of history! It was our way of thanking everyone for all the love and support they showed us that first year of business in a renovated petrol station in Burlington, Vermont, USA.

"Since then, Free Cone Day has only gotten bigger and better and is now celebrated all over the world!"
