Shopping for a Home With Five Bedrooms

Recently, I’ve been showing homes to a family with three small children. Ideally, they would like each child to have his and her own bedroom, and I’ve been surprised by how tricky finding a floor plan that works for them can be.

There are lots of four bedroom homes, but rarely are all four bedrooms on the same floor. For my clients with small (preschool) children, it’s not going to work to have one little person on the ground floor while the rest of the family is upstairs.

This week I took a look at homes for sale with at least five bedrooms. Here’s a sampling:

Alamo

131 Pebble Lane is my new listing. This is a five bedroom, three bathroom home with almost 2,700 square feet on a half-acre lot. Four bedrooms are upstairs, all generous in size, and one bedroom/bath down. The kitchen is new, the windows are all new, the bathrooms have just been updated. Logan Lane is on the El Pintado Loop, a lovely road with a country feeling, yet close to town. This home is zoned for horses and includes a pool. Dublin

2483 Encanto Way is a Braddock & Logan new home in the community of Biella at Positano. This is a six bedroom home with 3.5 bathrooms and 3,389 square feet, priced at $843,486. It has a granite kitchen with stainless appliances, gleaming hardwood floors and many other upgrades already selected.
