SRVUSD Celebrating Ribbon Cuttings At 2 Schools
The ribbon cuttings will celebrate the new San Ramon Valley High School building, and expansion and upgrades at Stone Valley Middle School.

DANVILLE, CA — The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is celebrating two milestones this month, including one this week at San Ramon Valley High School in Danville. On Thursday at 9 a.m., there will be a ribbon cutting at the campus for the new $64 million, three-story building that includes 52 classrooms with new modern science labs and flexible spaces for learning.
Students and teachers have been housed in portable classroom buildings since 2016 while the building was under construction.
The project included a partnership with the Town of Danville to expand the parking to get student commuters into the school’s parking lot and provide additional spaces for the Town’s use outside of school hours.

The project came together as a result of funding from the voter-approved Measure D facilities bond passed in 2012.
On Aug. 22 at 6 p.m., another ribbon cutting will take place at Stone Valley Middle School in Alamo to celebrate completion of the campus's Measure D-funded Classroom and Multi-Purpose Room replacement project.

The SVMS project includes additional classrooms, upgrading and modernizing existing facilities, reinforcing security, earthquake and fire systems and updating technology infrastructure.
Students and staff have been housed in portable classroom buildings on the school's play field since the $37.5 million project began in 2016.
Both San Ramon Valley High School and Stone Valley Middle School students and staff will occupy their new classrooms when they return to school Aug. 13.
