SRVUSD Seeks Members Of Facilities Oversight & Advisory Committee

DANVILLE, CA — The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is looking for members of its Facilities Oversight and Advisory Committee, which oversees Measure D Bond funds. Applications are due Friday, Nov. 3.

The FOAC is an independent, volunteer citizens’ oversight committee tasked with providing oversight of Measure D facilities bond projects and expenditures; and reviewing financial and performance audits and submitting an annual report to the Board of Education.

It consists of seven board-appointed members who serve at least two years, and up to three consecutive terms. Education Code 15278 requires the following representation:

  • One member should be active in a business organization representing the district’s business community.
  • One member should be active in a senior citizens’ organization.
  • One member should be active in a taxpayers’ organization.
  • One member should be a parent or guardian of a child enrolled in SRVUSD.
  • One member should be both a parent/guardian of an SRVUSD student and a member of a parent-teacher organization.
