Statue Of Liberty Nebula: Danville Photo Of The Day
Bob Schiff captured this far-off nebula resembling the Statue of Liberty.

DANVILLE, CA — Here’s the Statue of Liberty, just in time for the primary. The Statue of Liberty Nebula is an emission nebula estimated to exist roughly 9,000 light years from Earth, in the southern constellation Carina.
Danville astrophotographer Bob Schiff submitted this image captured at the El Sauce Observatory in Chile, courtesy of Telescope Live. Thanks, Bob!
