Temporary Road Closures Planned for Annual Race to Benefit Danville, San Ramon Schools
The Run for Education race starts at 8 a.m. Drivers are asked to use caution in the area due to a large number of pedestrians expected.
DANVILLE, CA — Several residential streets will be closed in Danville Sunday morning for the annual annual Run for Education.
“Rolling closures will occur during the annual Run for Education event,” town officials said in a statement. “Runners participating in the 10k portion of the Run for Education event will be shuttled from the San Ramon finish line to the start line at Charlotte Wood Middle School. Once the runners are clear of the starting zone, the roads will reopen and police will begin several short rolling closures following the race route to the Iron Horse Trail on Paraiso Drive.”
The roads will reopen around 8:45 a.m.

The Run for Education raises money for the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports and promotes education in partnership with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.
