Big news is cookin' in downtown Danville: Primos, the neighborhood hangout that's been serving up good times and great food for nearly 50 years, has new owners—Jimmy and Jennifer Jhanda. Even better? They've teamed up with local restaurant powerhouse guru Wes Aziz, who will be running the show as Operating Partner. The Jhanda family—deeply rooted in the Danville community—is stepping in with one goal: keep everything locals love about Primos, while breathing in new life where it counts. Think: the same welcoming vibe, comfort classics on the menu, plus a few fresh twists and surprises coming soon. "Primos is legendary in Danville and has a great soul," said Jimmy Jhanda. "We're not here to change that—we're here to protect it, refresh it, and make sure it's still around for the next 50 years." Jhanda sold and exited his wildly successful tech staffing franchise 12 months ago and retired. One goal during retirement, for both him, and his wife Jennifer was to make an investment in the local Danville community and Primo's checked all the boxes. Great Food. Energized Sports. In celebration of our nation’s 250th birthday, the Dublin Historical Society has launched a project to collect memories of life in Dublin, California back in the day during the Bicentennial in 1976. We invite the public to share their photos, news clippings, letters, journal entries, maps, or other objects - from Dublin, 1976 - that can be digitized for our online storytelling exhibit and archives. 
This effort aims to explore not only how Dublin, California residents celebrated America’s 200th birthday, but also how they lived in 1976. Through your own photographs and souvenirs, we’ll get a perspective of Dublin’s social, cultural, military, and business history - what it meant to be a Dubliner fifty years ago. 
This event kicks off the Dublin Historical Society’s new digital archiving project using new software that will allow current and future generations to come to view our collection. You will receive a digital copy of your contribution(s) to this archive.
Please visit us on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, in the Dublin Library’s Community Room
from 10am to 2pm to help us create this online archive, a legacy for generations to come.
