Where to Get the Cheapest Gas?

As gas prices climb a few cents from last week we've found the spots to find the cheapest gas near Danville and Alamo.

Penny by penny, gasoline prices continue their slow, midsummer rise back toward where they were in late spring.

In the East Bay, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is now $3.80, according to a California State Automobile Association website.

That's three cents more than a week ago. However, it's still 10 cents lower than a month ago.

This is the second straight week gas prices have inched up at the pumps after falling throughout the month of June.

It's a similar story across California. The average price for unleaded regular is also $3.80 a gallon. That's 2 cents more than last week and 11 cents less than in mid-June.

Prices in East Bay communities are hovering in that price range.

If you want the cheapest gas around, you should drive to Concord. That town has the three lowest priced stations in the East Bay, according to gasbuddy.com. All three are listed as selling unleaded regular for $3.59 a gallon.
