Why I Am Voting For Jesse vanZee for SRVUSD Area 1 School Board

Of the three candidates running for School Board, Jesse is the only candidate who has bipartisan support, doesn’t have financial backing from politicians or PACs, and can unite our community.

I served with Michelle Petersen on the Alamo School PTA. As a PTA leader she advocated for proposals brought by our principal and SRVEA (teacher's union). Jerome Pandell received an endorsement from SRVEA. For voters who are looking for a candidate who will be a voice for parents, shift focus to academics, and put students first, Jesse vanZee is the only choice.

School shutdowns and political mandates impacted students’ mental health and academic performance. Our board has voted unanimously on every controversial agenda item for years without considering parent input. Decisions affecting schools shouldn’t be political- they should be made in the spirit of partnership between teachers, staff and parents.
