Spilling out from the Domes on the UC Davis Campus are the Experimental College Gardens. They are open to students and Davis community members alike.
For just $35 a year, you can rent your very own 10x20 plot. Land, water, tools, mulch, manure and gardening advice are included with your plot rental.

- You get free gardening advice from the EC Garden Managers and other gardeners.
- You get to garden in an area that already has an established wealth of biodiversity, which attracts beneficial insects and in turn helps your plants prosper. The EC Gardens have been around for over 40 years!
- You get access to shared tools and more.
- It gives you the opportunity to keep your garden even if you move from house to house, as many students do while living in Davis.
- After one year, you can have chickens!
- You get access to many medicinal herbs and fruit trees, including figs, mulberries, and pomegranates.
