Aggie Olympic Updates: Kim Conley and Carrie Johnson

Conley will not advance to 5,000m final, while Johnson waits for 200m on Friday

Former UC Davis student  isn't advancing to the London Olympic final for the women's track and field 5,000-meter race, reports the Sacramento Bee.

Conley finished 12th yesterday in her qualifying heat, with a time of 15:14.48, according to the Bee. Tirunesh Dibaba of Ethiopia posted the fastest time of any woman in Tuesday's heats, 14:58.48. This was Conley's only event.

Meanwhile sprint kayaker , who will be attending UC Davis's School of Veterinary Medicine starting next week, failed to qualify in the women's K1 500-meter semi-final yesterday, reports SportingNews.com. Still, she will compete in the K-1 200m on Friday.
