Ronald Petersen was a founding member of the UC Davis art department, where he taught painting and printmaking for almost 40 years. Early in his career, Petersen developed his thematic focus on Picnic Day, UC Davis’ annual day of celebration. To honor Petersen on his 90th birthday, the Pence will display his vibrant color etchings from the 1960s to 70s of Picnic Day. This exhibit is in conjunction with the Elliot Fouts Gallery.
