UCLA erroneously admitted 894 students who were actually supposed to be on the waiting list. Here's one Davis High student's reaction.

A few weeks ago, UCLA wrongly told 894 students that they had gotten in to the college when they were actually on the waiting list.
UCLA has a historic reputation for being an amazing college. It ranks among some of the best schools in the nation. It's a place many high school students dream to attend.
If this happened to me, I think I would be shocked. Going to UCLA is something that applicants plan their whole lives for. Taking AP courses, saving money, visiting the college, and keeping up academically.

It takes tons of hard work to make a dream come true. Many of these students thought all the hard work that they had done over the years had finally paid off. It was a simple mistake, but it affected the lives of hundreds of students.A formal apology was made and the students were contacted with updated information. Still, the impact it had on all those lives can only be imagined. The hopes of students were brought up only to be dropped back down.
Easily, this seems like the worst way to find out your on the waiting list to UCLA. Although on the bright side, there is still a chance. For some of them, the road to UCLA doesn't stop now.
