Davis Flea Market Announces Theme and Schedule for Easter Weekend

Davis, CA – On Easter weekend, the people of the Davis Flea Market, in partnership with Talon Entertainment, invite you to participate in our most splendid collaboration yet. The grassroots, volunteer-run market is setting up shop for two full days, and this go-around with walls! Recently awarded a Cool Davis Climate Solutions Award, the Flea will continue its eco-conscience quest to divert clutter from landfill and support local arts and commerce on March 30^th and 31^st at the old Dimple Records location. We look forward to debuting some stellar additions including a Flea Cafe, a Makerspace, a Whole Earth Party, and Ted Style Talks.

Complimenting the 5,000 square feet of commerce space, is an impressive lineup of performances, activities, workshops and shows that compliment an exhibit curated by performance artist Evan Clayburg: "Kitsch and Decycling: the Aesthetics of Poor Taste.”  Davis music scene aficionado, Tim Kerbavaz of Talon Entertainment, is especially excited about the Flea’s mission to “promote creative reuse of household goods and to support our local arts and music communities.” The internationally lauded Sea of Bees will headline on Saturday night, with trilling tunes of love and heartache rooted in her hometown of Sacramento.

Saturday Market, March 30^th: 11am to 5pm.

Show doors open: 6pm. Headliner Sea of Bees with Support by Witch Baby (Oakland), followed by Whole Earth Dance Party.

Sunday Market, March 31^st: 11am to 5pm.

Show doors open: 6pm. Headliner Garrett Pierce (Sonoma) with performances by Joe Wenderoth, Kitty Liang, and Alice Choe

Weekend pass: $10.
Individual show tickets: $8; students: $6; under 12: free
Daily market pass: $1; under 12: free
