Davis Walking Tour

Take a Guided Walking Tour of Davis!

Gerri Adler, local historian and business owner in Davis, will lead a walking tour of historic downtown Davis on May 4th, starting a 2 pm at the Hattie Weber Museum of Davis at 445 C Street.  Tour sites will include the 1937 Works Public Administration building in Central Park, the original Davis Enterprise building, the site of George Weber’s Yolo Saloon (the first of many who gave the town a somewhat unsavory early reputation), the site of the short lived Davis arch, the sites of two early banks in town and many others, including the Brinley  fish pond which Gerri experienced first hand.
The tour will take 1 ½ to 2 hours, starting and ending at the Hattie
Weber Museum, itself a historic Davis building.  The cost is $10 and includes an illustrated pamphlet and a bottle of water.  Proceeds benefit the Museum.
For reservations, contact Gerri at Lasting Impressions, 632 4th Street, 756-2122.
